The Delta 72 was attempt to combine the classic soul, slide-guitar and distorted organ sound around the chaos of punk. We first played as just, drums, guitar and or organ, but quickly enlisted help to play all the instruments at once. As a full band we recorded a 7" 'On the Rocks,' which was jointly released by Dischord and Kill Rock Stars in June 1995.

After a long US tour and just before going into the studio to record our first full-length for Touch & Go, I left The Delta 72 to persue other projects.
